Upazila Manager, IDP (Contractual)

Job Description/Responsibilities:

Direct project implementation through the preparation of work plans of project staff based from project action plan
Ensure that unit management, administrative and financial structures are maintained by all field staffs
Ensure that project activities, outputs and impacts are rigorously monitored and reported

Prepare and manage the project budget
Ensure that project training imparted to VDO members, local vendors, lead producers, entrepreneurs and value chain actors as well as training materials provided are of the highest quality possible

Develop project interventions to ensure that women receive equal opportunity to develop women – led enterprises
Serve as a responsive and proactive focal point of the upazila team for communication with donor and BRAC
Coordinate the work of project staffs

Communicate the results of the project effectively and persuasively to the donor
Develop, coach and mentor team members to stimulate professional growth

Endorse, support and administer BRAC’s code of conduct
Lead staff to implement project activities and to ensure timely delivery of results of the project
Educational Requirements: M.S / M.SC / B.SC in Agriculture or MBA from any recognized University with minimum second class / division or equivalent GPA / CGPA in academic examinations. No 3rd division / class or below CGPA is acceptable

Experience Requirements:

Minimum 3 years
Additional Job Requirements:

 

Work experience in National / International NGOs
Good interpersonal skills & flexibility / creatively to work independently and within a dynamic environment, across teams and partners.
Skill on communication and an ability to write in the national languages and in English

Good facilitation and anchoring skill, ability to organize dialogues, plan, priorities work according to deadlines, manage budgets and projects
Ability to plan and implement agricultural value chain activities and marketing of agro product by small holder farmers
Age Range: Maximum 45 years

Salary Range: Negotiable
